The use of an access database with a Cisco ASA is not a common approach, but with 30+ remote sites and looking for config consistencies, the database was able to hold site-specific IP address information and details that were utilized to concatenate consistent config commands. This allowed other team members, who were not as well versed in Cisco ISO commands, to be able to support and maintain changing business requirements with the remote VPN location changes. They were able to do so by simply entering the IP information and the program would concatenate a formatted script to remove and or add site locations to the VPN configuration.
